I got softlocked by a wall and had to refresh 4 times T-T
But WOW, how do you conceive of so many different little scenes in so little time? The whole time i was like "wait, is still going?"
And then the tank showed up!

Noisemama responds:

Glad you liked it! I just finished fixing some bugs and added the option to press R to reset to a checkpoint. Should prevent any further softlocks. I'll have the build up in a few minutes.

EDIT: Should be live now.

Got to level 6 before realizing you could double jump, wich makes your life significantly easier :P
Really cool aesthetic, swinging from the vines is a great detail

That was a interesting experiment, not sure i agree with the decision to prevent replays, probably should have paid more attention at the beginning but i didn't know i could play it only once, i was having fun just repeatedly saying no expecting the dialogue to run out or loop, instead i made him quite sad... I feel like it cut off half the plot because of my silly decisions at the beginning.
Also i think there were slurs? Didn't offend in the context they were used, just seemed a little excessive, they didn't add much

anymany responds:

blocking off the ability to replay wasn't on the list, i just forgot to test the ability to reload the site. you should now be able to replay it at the ends.

i'm not too happy with how it sounded either. i think it sounded more impactful to my sleep deprived mind. that was the last path i added so i think when i though about what to include and what not to include, i forgot what information was given in that path. i think the dialogue makes more sense when you go through all the paths.

i was kinda scared of this happening because since i was running really low on time, i didn't have ANY play testers so ya'll ended up being my guineapigs, sorry about that.

Overall i think this is one of the best things you posted here, im biased, i love birds, weird cryptids and the concept of corrupted nature, i love these owl critters, is very simple and effective

My first read i was put off by the ambiguity, decided i like it in the end but still have some issues with it, is cool that you can't be sure if the owls were malevolent or not, related to the epidemic, maybe something darker or just unfortunately off putting animals, maybe there's an allegory im missing...

I think the final line "It would be best to assume the species remains extinct" would have more punch if they were confirmed as a malevolent force or not, i feel like you were going for one of those "The end??" moments were the monster is implied to survive, but is it even a monster? Otherwise, the line could work as a sort of melancholy farewell from the researcher, but as it is i just didn't knew how to feel at the end, i couldn't tell if he was expressing grief or relief over their extinction, the feeling of ambiguity extends to him, he feels too distant as a character, but maybe that's the point?

Anyway, i think this rocks :)

That means a lot coming from you.
